Ocean Floor Recording was established in 2018 by Engineers Francisco Lopes And Charles Austin as a boutique analog studio to facilitate the art of audio creation and coffee.
We are located in the heart of Halifax,NS.

Francisco Lopes
Has been capturing sound since purchasing his first 4-track tape recorder in 1999.
He has an education in fine art from NSCAD University and interned at Revolution Recording in Toronto. He cut his teeth at the beloved Halifax studio: Echo Chamber
Franc’s body of work includes recording, mixing and mastering
Artists he has worked with include: Aquakulture, Bahamas, Century Egg, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Al Tuck, Walrus and guitar legend Garrett Mason.
Charles Austin
Charles "the ancient one" has been playing and recording music for the better part of 25 years
In that time he has recorded every genre from free jazz to doom metal to acoustic folk
His partial credits run 12 pages on discogs. An open mind to different genres and a willingness to do what the musician wants are his trademarks.
He also works on soundtracks and plays in the psyche band Fantasy Eye.
He has an unhealthy obsession with the music of Madagascar
